Beamer's our first show dog and our first competitive weight pull dog.

Shown sparingly, he finished his
AKC Championship by going Best of Winners at the 2003 CAMC specialty, along
the way taking a
Best of Opposite and Best of Breed.

In his weight pull career he never placed lower than 4th at an Alaskan Malamute Club of America National or
Regional weight pull, he took 2nd to the IWPA world record holder at the Tri-State Alaskan Malamute Club
Northwoods Championship at Eagle River, WI, and has placed in the top 4 for the Alaskan Malamute Club of
Wisconsin's weight pull season standings.  Mid-Career we switched it up a bit and Beamer became one of the few
weight pullers in the country who is driven from behind rather than called.

He was my dependable wheel dog, quickly transitioning into weight pull form when we got to hills.

He's retired now at age 13, just hanging out with Miss Kita and the crew.
Just for fun and exercise in the off season, we have built
an agility course for the backyard and have trained the
dogs to do a circuit.  Beamer is my best jumper.

Hurrah.....

Two months to the day before  his 10th birthday, he surprised us all by not only winning his weight
class, but also Top Weight Pulled and Top % Pulled for the day! May, 2008

Working dog class was in the ring during the weight pull so it was groom,
pull, run to ring to check progress, run back, re-harness, pull, un-harness,
touch up grooming, show, run back, re-harness, pull.  Show lead still in
hand.

It was as surreal as the picture turned out.
Beamer finished his AKC Championship at the Chicagoland Alaskan Malamute Club Specialty show by
going Best of Winners.  He finished with 2 4 point majors, 2 Bests of Opposite Sex and a Best of Breed
win, sparingly shown.  The only time he went Winners but not Best of Winners was when he went up
against his littermate, ZsaZsa.
Their first sled run (age 3) and their last bike run (Age 11)
Some things never change as Beamer mugs for the camera Kita
would rather just plug on and get this over with!
